The Technical Institute of Modena was founded in 1921 from the desire of industrialist Fermo Corni, who, to obviate the need to import specialized workers and technicians from Austria and Germany for his factories of mechanical components, promoted the establishment of a technical school that has managed to maintain over the years a close link with Modena’s economic structure.
